From now until October 24th 2010, Samsung is accepting applications for its exciting education program, Samsung Solve for Tomorrow. By entering Solve for Tomorrow, your school will have a chance  to win a piece of $1,000,000 in technology.

Samsung and its partners are asking teachers to participate in this contest, which aims to address a key academic challenge in our country:  increasing the pursuit of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM) education. With Samsung and schools joining together, we’re looking to foster interest in these subjects among students and illustrate the practical impact applying these subjects can have.

By applying, teachers will be entered for a chance to participate in the Samsung Solve for Tomorrow Contest.  Fifty classrooms will be selected and equipped with a camcorder, laptop, and video editing software to create videos addressing the question, “How can Science and Math help improve the environment in your community?”  Of the 50 schools submitting videos, the top 25 will win a technology grant worth at least $15,000 and the top 10 videos will be prominently featured online for voting.   The teachers and student representatives of the five finalist schools will be invited to New York City for an awards ceremony with education thought leaders and celebrity supporters.

Please pass this along to your administrators, teachers and colleagues for a chance to win!  Please visit us at www.samsung.com/solvefortomorrow to apply.
