Chicago Bulls & Sprite: MVP Essay Contest

Every year during Black History month the Chicago Bulls, along with Sprite host an essay contest for African American males that are in grades 10-12 with a GPA higher than 2.5 and 20 or more community service hours.  Of all the students that apply, 25 are selected to be our Sprite MVP’s and they will receive a medal and certificate at a dinner that will be held in their honor at the Willis Tower on 2/16.  Please pass this along to any students that you think would be interested.

High School students grades 10-12
Minimum grade point average of 2.5
At least 20 hours of “active” community service completed within the past 12 months
Leadership Involvement / Extra Curricular Activities

To honor Black History Month, Chicago (along with Atlanta and New York City) will host a special tribute to Dorothy Height and the Civil Rights Movement. The tribute will feature music and dance by top artists, both legends and newcomers, and students from several CPS high schools will participate in the event. Chicago Public Schools is proud to be an event partner and offer a discount to all employees and family members.  See attached flyer for details on the event.
