Citywide Sports Programs
Are you looking to sponsor or support sports programs for students? We want to make it easy for you. If you know what you’d like to do give us a call or send us an email. If you’re looking for ideas, we’ve listed a few ways you could make a big difference in your school’s sports programs.
The CPS budget funds compensation for 27,000 teachers, 600 principals and the support staff of 19,000. Each school’s budget also funds textbooks, library books and materials, food, building maintenance and security. In addition, all schools have modest allocations for technology and library books, although not at an optimal level.
The following numbers reflect the total costs associated with each item. Donations may be made in any amount towards any of the items listed below. Donations may be made online by clicking the red “Donate Now” button.
Soccer- synthetic grass turf (matching funds needed for NFL Grant) $400,000
Elementary school baseball program implementation $1,000,000
Physical Education Equipment $2,000,000-#3,000,000/citywide
Playground construction $5,000,000/citywide
New Stadium (Refurbishing costs) $7,000,000/for seven stadiums.
